About Momoi

A journey through rhythm, grace, and self-expression

My Dance Journey

Belly dance, known in Arabic as Raqs Sharqi (Oriental Dance), has been my passion for over a decade. What began as a curious exploration of movement evolved into a deep appreciation for this ancient art form that celebrates femininity, strength, and cultural heritage.

My training spans multiple styles including Egyptian Raqs Sharqi, Turkish Oriental, American Tribal Style (ATS), and Tribal Fusion. Each tradition offers unique techniques, rhythms, and expressions that I weave into my performances and teaching.

Training & Background

I have studied under renowned instructors from Egypt, Turkey, and the United States, attending workshops and intensives to deepen my understanding of authentic Middle Eastern dance. My approach honors traditional techniques while embracing contemporary interpretations.

Certifications & Training

  • Classical Egyptian Technique with master teachers
  • American Tribal Style (ATS) General Skills certification
  • Tribal Fusion intensive training
  • Props mastery: veil, sword, cane, fan veils, Isis wings
  • Zill (finger cymbals) performance certification

Teaching Philosophy

I believe belly dance is for every body. My classes create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where students can explore movement, build confidence, and connect with their inner rhythm. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, my goal is to help you discover the joy of expression through dance.

Performance Experience

I have performed at cultural festivals, private celebrations, theatrical productions, and educational events. Each performance is an opportunity to share the beauty of Middle Eastern dance and create meaningful connections with audiences.
